Chompr («we», «our», «us») is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use the Chompr mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.
1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following information when you use Chompr:

  • Photos uploaded by you (for food recognition purposes)

  • Biometric data (e.g., height, weight)

  • Name (if provided)

  • Goals (e.g., weight loss)

  • Device language

  • App usage activity

  • Device and operating system details (model, version, identifiers)

  • IP address, cookies, log files

  • Subscription and transaction information (via the App Store)
Important: We do not require user registration. All data is processed locally on your device and is not linked to a personal account.
2. Cookies and Analytics

We may use cookies and analytics technologies through third-party services:

  • Firebase (app stability and crash analytics)

  • AppMetrica (user behavior analytics)

Cookies and SDK data are used only to improve the product and understand user behavior. We do not use advertising cookies.
3. Chatbot Usage

Chompr includes an AI-powered assistant (chatbot) to answer questions about nutrition, routines, and goals.

  • Text queries are processed by a third-party AI service provider to generate responses.

  • Queries may contain personal or non-personal data, depending on what you enter.

  • We recommend not sharing sensitive information (e.g., full name, address, bank card details).

  • Responses are generated automatically, are not reviewed by humans, and are for informational purposes only.
4. How We Use Your Information

We may use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App’s functionality

  • Personalize recommendations based on your goals and history

  • Process subscription payments and provide technical support

  • Communicate with you via push notifications (if you consent)

  • Respond to your support requests

  • Analyze trends, detect technical issues, and assess features or marketing effectiveness

  • Comply with legal obligations

  • Facilitate business transfers (e.g., mergers, acquisitions)
5. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Chompr offers annual and monthly subscriptions via the App Store, with a 3-day free trial for the annual plan.

  • No free functionality is available.

  • Payments are processed by Apple; we do not have access to your bank card details. Apple’s privacy policy applies.
6. Data Storage Ans Security

  • All user data is stored locally on your device.

  • We do not store your data on our servers.

  • We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access.
7. Data Sharing

We may share:

  • Technical data (no personal information) with Firebase and AppMetrica

  • Chatbot queries with a third-party AI service provider for response generation

We do not:

  • Sell your personal data

  • Display ads in the App

We may also share personal data:

  • With service providers for technical or analytical support (minimum necessary scope)

  • During business reorganizations or legal events

  • With our affiliates within the “Mint Rocket” group under this Policy

  • With your consent (e.g., if you voluntarily share data in the chatbot)

  • As required by law
8. Data Retention

We keep data on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
9. Data Deletion

  • Deleting the App removes all data from your device.

  • You can also delete data manually in the App settings.

  • If future processing involves data subject to legal retention (e.g., transactions), it may be stored for the legally required period.
10. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Know what data we collect

  • Delete the App and all related data

  • Contact us regarding privacy matters
11. Children’s Privacy

Chompr is not intended for individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe your child has provided us with information, contact us at support@chompr.app.
12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” at the top will reflect the latest changes.
